This is not a traditional Japanese Miso soup recipe. It is perfect when you have some veggies left in the fridge and want to use them all.
Traditional Miso Soup Ingredients
Miso Paste: Look for miso paste made from soybeans, preferably organic. It comes in various colors and flavors, such as white (shiro) and red (aka). Choose the one that suits your taste.
Dashi/Broth: Dashi is the foundation of Japanese cuisine. You could make
Tofu: Opt for silken or soft tofu, which adds a delightful texture to your miso soup.
Wakame Seaweed: Dried wakame seaweed adds a hint of oceanic flavor and a vibrant green color to your soup. Simply rehydrate it in water before using.
Green Onions: These provide a fresh and mild onion flavor, along with a splash of vibrant green color.
